Brett Henrikson is an Artist and Photographer. He holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design where he studied photography. His interests over the past few years have ranged from traditional photographic projects to works which have pushed the medium into directions either away from the realistic aspects of photography or towards the creation of constructed realities. He has done to through the use of manipulating the collodion medium and fighting the precious treatment of film objects. He has constructed 3d film objects as well as life-sized contact prints.
Brett works as a freelance photographer as well as an arts educator. He has worked with a variety of clients for photographic projects either on location or at his lighting studio. Brett has shown his work in over 50 galleries and museum around the world and across the country. He has been featured on blogs like Lomography, Juxtapoz and Lenscratch. He has juried and curated shows about the nude and on the current usage of historical photographic processes. He has also taught workshops on the collodion process as well as teaches the pre-college darkroom photography course at the Rhode Island School Of Design.
